Online Event Management Company knew that securing any system was crucial. They wanted to make sure their existing AWS environment was up to industry standards, identify any vulnerabilities they may have, and ensure they had a process in place to maintain continuous compliance. <\/span><\/p>

The Solution<\/b><\/h6>

Cloudaliv evaluated Client’s cloud infrastructure and identified key gaps that needed to be addressed. Cloudaliv remedied these issues and implemented measures to mitigate future risks, implementing governance throughout the organization for improved security. In this case, the company was able to make its infrastructure even more secure by leveraging AWS best practices, such as automating and securing against breaches.<\/span><\/p>

Cloudaliv then stepped in to continue the implementation of security controls and policies, including access control and identity management, as well as monitoring for malicious activity. The organization was also able to leverage Cloudaliv’s expertise with industry-leading technologies such as GuardDuty, WAF, and Config. These services enabled the Client to detect potential threats before they occur and take preventive action against them. Moreover, Cloudaliv worked with the company to build a secure DevOps pipeline that included continuous monitoring of its cloud environment, allowing it to quickly identify any vulnerabilities or misconfigurations. In addition, the team provided recommendations on hardening their applications by implementing strong authentication methods such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) or Single Sign On (SSO). All these measures allowed the Client to protect itself from data breaches while avoiding unnecessary complexity in their operations.<\/span><\/p>

The Outcome<\/b><\/h6>

As a result of implementing the AWS security best practices, the online event management company has seen a significant reduction in the number of security incidents. There have been no reported data breaches or other major security incidents since implementing the new security measures. The company’s IT team is now able to focus on more strategic initiatives, rather than fire-fighting security issues. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Cloudaliv team conducted a comprehensive assessment of our situation and proposed a comprehensive solution. They leveraged the capabilities of Amazon CloudFront and Amazon S3 to enhance the static application's performance, harnessing AWS's high-performance Content Delivery Network (CDN) to minimize latency and enhance the overall user experience. CloudFront is also implemented for dynamic applications as well.
\nCloudFront was configured with all available edge locations, strategically positioned across the globe, to ensure optimal performance and minimal latency for users worldwide. To bolster content security and manage access effectively, the origin was set up to grant CloudFront exclusive access to a private S3 bucket housing the application's content. This approach not only enhanced security but also ensured seamless user access through CloudFront.

Additionally, AWS ACM certificates were provisioned to encrypt data transmission, adding protection against DDoS attacks. For the application's admin panel, which required distinct routing and handling, specialized routing strategies were implemented. When users accessed the \/admin path, Lambda@Edge dynamically modified the request URI, ensuring accurate request forwarding to the admin backend hosted on an Application Load Balancer (ALB).

As a result of this thoughtfully planned and executed configuration, our application performance saw a significant improvement. With Amazon CloudFront as our content delivery solution, we were well-equipped to meet the increasing demands of our expanding user base.
